Michael Forsyth
Michael J. Forsyth is a retired U.S. Army field artillery colonel and currently an assistant professor in the Department of Joint, Interagency, and Multinational Operations at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He commanded at every level through brigade and served as chief of staff of Alaskan Command and Alaska NORAD Region. He is a veteran of Operation DESERT STORM, served three tours in Afghanistan, and is a PhD candidate at the Royal Military College of Canada completing his doctoral dissertation. Michael is the author of The Camden Expedition of 1864 and the Opportunity Lost by the Confederacy to Change the Civil War (2007) and The Great Missouri Raid: Sterling Price and the Last Major Confederate Campaign in Northern Territory (2015) and has written for a wide variety of scholarly publications.
